Each part of the body has its own special function, yet the intricacies of those functions are integrated with the purpose of the whole.
As we enter into the New Year, we are excited to be able to open up The Lighthouse to share space with both Together for Good and Grateful Life Ministries in order to holistically serve women and their children impacted by the cycle of incarceration and addiction with wrap-around services through a Christ-Centered lens. And it has been amazing to see all of the community connections and new relationships emerge! Together for Good has a mission to create pathways for the local church to come alongside vulnerable children and families in Christ-centered ministry through respite hosting and hospitality meals 1-2 times a month. They also provide monthly trainings for new volunteers. Grateful Life has been established to help the body of Christ to be healthy, growing and full of Love. Walking alongside those on the journey of new life spiritually through inner healing prayer, mentoring and discipleship and physically through providing Christian doula trainings and services. These two organizations are a beautiful addition to the work we do at Next Chapter. Restoration of not only the individual, but families affected by the cycle of crime, has always been a part of our mission. The heart of what we do in serving the way Jesus did, is to be a conduit of His amazing love! As we continue to be a light shining in the darkness, may the unity of God's Spirit reflect in our countenance; so that ultimately the hope we have can be shared with those who come to the Lighthouse.
