Ministry To Men
Next Chapter has three homes for men transitioning back into the community from incarceration, either in county jails or prison. The Discipleship Home, makes up our Christian-living residential program for men where we take a holistic approach to support men through day-to-day life.
The mission of the Discipleship Home is to assist, develop, and train men who have a desire to grow in Christ so that their lives become living testimonies to the ways of the Lord. Discipleship through teaching and modeling of scripture is at the heart of all that is done within the homes.
Men commit to staying in the Discipleship Home for a minimum of 6 months and may stay up to 1 year. Through weekly Bible studies, peer-led support groups, meals, counseling, activities, and life together in a safe and healthy community, men can gain an understanding of Christian doctrine, rebuild family relationships, begin to heal from past traumas, grow in their strengths, and learn to disciple others. Upon completion of the Discipleship Program, men may apply to become a resident of our Transformation Home for an additional year, to strengthen the foundation established in the Discipleship Home and work to complete our Pathways to Sustainable Housing Program.
