Friend of Next Chapter Ministries,
At Next Chapter, our mission to build lasting relationships with individuals seeking to break the cycle of incarceration has remained our guiding focus. Even through a year of transition, we have stayed true to this commitment in all that we do. As we look ahead to 2025, we are deeply grateful for your continued partnership and for the role you play in this important restorative work.
We have so much to celebrate! This past year we:
Celebrated 25 Years of Impact - We were blessed to honor the tireless work of Andy and Peggy Kilen at our anniversary BBQ, marking 25 years of breaking the cycle of incarceration. What began as a Bible study in the local jail has expanded into seven homes, touching countless lives along the way. Their legacy of service continues to inspire us all.
Engaged in Community Efforts – Our men’s and women’s ministries, with our community’s invaluable support and active participation, have embraced numerous opportunities to serve and uplift. From participating in a 5K race to volunteering at local fundraisers and painting an apartment complex, our residents have come together with purpose and passion. Our residents and participants understand the importance of giving back and have embraced it. The success and impact our residents are making is possible because of donors like you. Your contribution is a lifeline to our organization and a testament to your belief in our cause and your integral role in our success.
Creating New Pathways for Leadership - We are excited to introduce a new Resident Assistant role, staffed by an alum of our Discipleship Program. This new position enables us to offer peer support and mentorship from someone who has walked a similar path. This role is already proving invaluable in fostering a strong support network within our homes.
Continued the Work of Restoration– We are thrilled to welcome Rev. Dr. Torianto S. Johnson Sr. to the Next Chapter team. Dr. Johnson’s visionary leadership is already driving significant change as he steers us into a promising new phase of growth firmly rooted in our mission. By forging partnerships with other organizations, we are expanding our programs to provide outpatient treatment for our residents on campus. We are poised to achieve full occupancy for the first time in three years, a testament to the hard work of our team. Dr. Johnson and the dedicated staff at Next Chapter are building on the solid foundation laid by those before us, ensuring a bright and transformative future for our community.
As you reflect on your year-end giving, we invite you to prayerfully consider donating to Next Chapter Ministries. Your support is essential as we seek to raise $100,000, enabling us to continue to meet the needs of individuals and families impacted by the cycle of incarceration and sustain our transformative initiatives in 2025.
Blessings,
Rev. Dr Torianto S. Johnson Sr., Executive Director
